MOVETECH LAB!
Our mission is to enhance human performance, health and quality of life through innovative research that integrates the fields of applied clinical and exercise biomechanics, physiology, sports medicine and technology.
ABOUT US
Our laboratory is dedicated to conducting cutting-edge research projects aimed toward developing practical solutions in sport, health, and rehabilitation. Additionally, we also aim to revisit existing physical fitness assessment methodologies and explore novel approaches to provide more accurate and comprehensive athletic performance measurements.
Our research topics cover a wide range of areas, including injury prevention and management, performance enhancement, motor control and learning, prosthetics and orthotics, aging and disability, and more.
The MoveTech lab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including 3D motion capture technology, force platforms, electromyography, ultrasound imaging, pressure sensors, wearable sensors and more; all of which enable us to measure and analyse various aspects of human movement, such as kinematics, kinetics, muscle activity, joint loading, and tissue deformation.
We work with a diverse range of populations, from elite athletes to children and patients with chronic conditions, with the aim to provide evidence-based recommendations for improving human movement.
In addition to our research, we also offer consultancy and testing services for sport organisations, health professionals, and industry partners. Our team is composed of highly skilled and experienced researchers who are passionate about advancing the field of applied clinical and exercise biomechanics and improving the lives of people around the world.
We hope you enjoy reading our blog and learning more about our
latest research projects, collaborations and publications.
